Our partner Kubota intends to commercialize the precision farming offer for vineyards through an integrated system using Chouette embedded sensors and vine intelligence services in the next coming years, and is strengthening the collaboration for next season to make this happen. This way, Kubota goes further in vineyard automation providing high added value services to its machinery, that will allow wine growers to face challenges such as labour shortage and environnemental issues.
“Our key target is to understand how to increase vineyard farming profits, while protecting the environment and tackling vine growth needs. We are working with several testing vineyards across Europe to achieve this target. They collected data signals from their own vineyards via embedded sensors on the Kubota tractor each time they entered the ground with the machine, receiving data-driven early disease detection from the Chouette platform and prescriptive maps later on.” says Daria Batukhtina, Strategic Business Development Manager at Kubota Innovation Center Europe.
